Here is my first blog post

Why am I am proofreader? Why am I an editor? What can I offer prospective clients and writers?

Here is my mission statement:

To help authors communicate their work as clearly as possible to an audience. 

To help authors with their distinctive voice. I work in a sympathetic way with a writer, to understand that it is they want to communicate and help them achieve that goal.

I have read huge amounts of books in my lifetime, from a wide range of genres. As well as my main love of fiction, I also read magazines, text books, academic books, newspapers, everything I can get my hands on.

I love language and I am constantly curious about how it is used, how it works, and what it communicates.

I have a PhD in Music, specialising in composition. I have written many essays and theses. I am also a creative writer and poet.
I have a wide range of interests and expertise, including music, art, literature, nature, eco-activism, religion, culture.
